Marreyah Haq
I’m a BABCP accredited CBT therapist, EMDR therapist and I am currently training in couples therapy. I have over 10 years’ experience working within both primary care and secondary care mental health services.
My training and experience means I am specifically trained to support people who experience a range of mental health problems including depression, generalised anxiety, OCD and trauma.
Alongside my private practice, I work as a Senior Psychological Therapist in the NHS Staff Support Hub supporting Health & Social Care staff with managing burnout, stress and incidents such as bullying or harassment. My role here also includes consultations with managers and offering advice on areas for development in a team where there may be challenges.
I have a special interest working with trauma and have experience working in a complex trauma team offering support to individuals who have multiple traumas including childhood and perinatal.
My therapeutic style is open, empathetic, caring and non-judgmental. I work compassionately and collaboratively to empower and support my clients in achieving their goals. Though my primary training is with cognitive behavioural therapy, I often draw upon third wave models such as compassion focussed therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy to ensure the therapy is personalised to you.
