Dr Nayeema Shakur
Dr Nayeema Shakur is a compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist. She uses medication as an adjunct to various psychotherapeutic models including cognitive behaviour therapy, family therapy and psychodynamic principles in her day-to-day clinical practice.
Dr. Shakur completed a period of core and higher training in Psychiatry through Health Education England’s Northeast training schemes and became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2018. She attained a postgraduate certificate in Medical Education in 2022 from University of York and Hull.
Subsequently, she obtained Certificate of Completion in Training in General Adult Psychiatry in 2023 alongside endorsement in Liaison Psychiatry reflecting her comprehensive approach to mental health care.
