Dr. Macedo da Cunha is a Consultant Psychiatrist. She is a passionate and nurturing doctor who believes in taking a kind and collaborative approach to the treatment of mental illness
She finished her medical studies at the University of Lisbon in 2011 and completed her training in Psychiatry in Faro, Portugal.
Alongside her work in the NHS, Dr. Macedo da Cunha currently devotes her time to her private practice with a special interest in the mental health implications of migration, psycho-education, reducing stigma in mental health, women’s mental health, and functional neurological disorders. She currently devotes a substantial amount of her time to working with Portuguese-speaking migrants.
In her clinical practice, she strives to combine her knowledge of evidence-based treatments with a personalized and humanistic approach while walking alongside her patients in their path toward recovery.
