Dr Javaid Sultan
Dr Sultan is committed to a person-centred, holistic approach to care and maintains up-to-date clinical skills to ensure the highest standards of treatment.
He obtained his medical degree from King Edward Medical College and completed postgraduate training in the UK, earning internationally recognised qualifications including MSc, DIC, MRCPsych, and FRCPsych.
He has been on the GMC Specialist Register for General Adult and Substance Misuse Psychiatry since 2005 and has served as a Consultant Psychiatrist at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust since 2006. His clinical expertise spans a wide range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychosis, OCD, personality disorders, and addiction.
Dr Sultan has held leadership roles across outpatient, inpatient, Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP), and dual diagnosis services. He is also an experienced Clinical and Educational Supervisor for psychiatric trainees and medical students from Oxford Deanery and Oxford Medical School.
He is a research specialist in many pyschiatric conditions, in Alcohol & Recreational Drugs Abuse, Mood Disorders and Early Detection of Psychosis particularly.
