What we do

As a Talkmind patient who experiences mental health difficulties, you will receive a comprehensive treatment plan appropriate to your diagnosis, to help improve your quality of life.

Our friendly team of mental health professionals are here so you don't need to suffer in silence. We can help you understand your difficulties and then overcome them, so you can be the best version of yourself.

What appointment types do we offer?

The first session with a mental health professional is an important step towards addressing any concerns or issues you may be facing. During your session, the clinician / practitioner will take time to listen to your concerns in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment.

We offer 3 types of appointments: psychiatric, psychological and therapeutic.

Psychiatrists: medical doctors who can assess and diagnose a mental health condition, as well as provide treatment and medication if required.

Psychologists: experts in understanding why issues exist in the first place and can help in handling past trauma or chronic issues.

Therapists: specialists in providing talking therapies for patients suffering with emotional difficulties, anxieties and relationships often through behavioural interventions.

Our Talkmind team are here to support you and answer any of your questions you have along the way.

Talkmind takes an holistic approach to mental health; a combination of medication, therapy and/or lifestyle adjustments may be suggested as part of your treatment plan. Where appropriate, physical health investigations (and treatment) may also be suggested so as to maximise your recovery.

Yes we can. Once we have assessed you and discussed your treatment plan together, if appropriate, we are able to write you a sick note for your employer. We understand that taking time to reflect and recuperate is important when struggling with some mental illnesses.

Can my GP prescribe my medication? Do you offer a shared care agreement?

Potentially; once you are stable on a suitable medication and dosage, in some circumstances, a Shared Care Agreement can be arranged with your GP Practice for them to take over your prescribing. Do note, your GP is not obligated to accept this and will only offer this at their own discretion. For more information, please contact us

How will I receive my medication?

Once your medication has been discussed and agreed with you, we send your prescription to our dedicated online pharmacy, who will arrange the delivery to your door, provided this is within the UK. To ensure this process is smooth, please ensure your contact details are correct as you will receive live updates on your delivery status.

How often do I need a medication review?

If you are on a shared care agreement, you will be a review annually. If you are not on a shared care agreement, you will need a review every 3-12 months.
