Dr. Gaurav Kohli is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. He is on the specialist register of the General Medical Council (GMC) UK having gained a CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Dr Kohli is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. He has special experience in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders in children and adolescents. In his Consultant career, he has treated 100s of young people with complex mental health problems.

He has worked for 12 years as a Lead Clinician in CAMHS both within the NHS and in private practice and, has worked for 7 years as Clinical Director in CAMHS. Dr Kohli has very good understanding of safeguarding of children and was named "Doctor for Child Safeguarding".

Dr Kohli is an expert in ADHD in child and adolescent populations and has a special interest in Autism. He has done research on “Stability of diagnosis of Autism” at The Winicott Centre, at the Manchester Royal Infirmary and is trained in ADOS 2, and ADI-R, which are two leading evidence based diagnostic tools for diagnosing Autism.

He provides treatment for a broad range of psychiatric disorders using biopsychosocial approaches. Dr Kohli regularly attends national and international conferences to keep himself up to date with trends in Child and Adolescent psychiatry.

Do note, on booking an assessment, we will send you out 2 forms that will need filling in and sent back to us prior to the assessment. There will be 1 form for the parent to complete and 1 questionnaire for the school that the young person attends to complete.
